Bead Board Paneling
There
are many different forms of paneling but the most common is Bead
board. It is also called Cottage style or New England style paneling
and is commonly found in Kitchens or homes where the comfortable
country look is desired. Beadboard is also used when a wall is
damaged and must be covered up completely or when a wall is
unfinished and covered up to save time on finishing.
Most
Bead board sold in big box stores comes in a large 4 x 8 sheet, this
is cumbersome and difficult to install under some circumstances. Out
Plank Bead board comes in narrow 8” wide strips which are easier to
handle and customize to suit your job. The Beadboard strips come
shaped on the edges and fit into one another very easily for a
professional finished look once installed. Our Beadboard is installed pre finished with a white
primer but still requires a coat of paint after installation.
Sheet Style beadboard is also available. This is not the stuff available at your local Big Box Store. Our Beadboard is the same thickness however it has a much deeper round bead which gives it a richer appearance when installed.
Beadboard will offer excellent protection against damage to the wall and will be easy to clean up if you use a cleanable oil based paint. It is the perfect option for a Country Kitchen, Laundry Room, Basement, Nursery, Mud Room and Ceilings.
