Our PermaCast Columns are produced from a Fiber Glass reinforced polymer composite with exceptional
durability and strength to weight characteristics, enabling them to stand up to the elements like no other columns on the market. When you consider the winters we get in Canada and the amount of salt used on porches and front steps, builder grade wood columns don't stand a chance. Not only do the columns themselves stand up to the elements but the Caps and especially the Bases are also extremely durable and Salt Resistant.
PermaCast Columns are load bearing, the capacity will depend on the size and diameter of the individual column. These columns would be considered Heavy Duty in the column world due to their high load bearing capacity.
PermaCast Columns come in a variety of sizes and diameters, they are only available tapered, if you need a Non Tapered Column, have a look at our Pultruded selection. Fluted and smooth are the only two styles available in the PermaCast series. Columns come ready to paint.
