Wall Panel Wainscoting
Wall Panel is less formal than a Raised Panel and has a more casual feel to it which is nice when you want to brighten up your family room or basement walls. Don’t let the casualness of this product limit you to the family room though, Wall panel wainscoting can fit into any room in your home and will dress up a dated Dining Room or Living Room in just one day.
The Wall Panel Wainscot is just that; it uses the wall to create the middle panel. The fact that there is no panel makes this the least expensive of our wainscoting options. Once painted most people wouldn’t know or question the fact that they are looking at a the drywall. Due to the way the wainscoting fits together and installs, it allows us to avoid wall pugs and phone jacks without compromising the symmetry throughout the room. If your walls are not perfectly smooth, we can cover them first with a thin sheet of MDF and install the wainscoting right over it, therefore hiding any visible marks and imperfections.
The standard installation finished height for Wainscoting is a 36″ height for an 8 foot ceiling and approximately 42″ for a 9 foot ceiling. The idea is not to cut the wall in half with the installation. Our Wainscoting can easily be adjusted for height so if you want a taller finished height, you only have to ask.
Nothing dresses up a set of stairs like Wainscoting, and the more angles you have the better, angles and turns bring out the best of our wainscoting. If you have beautiful curved stairs, don’t worry, the Wall Panel Wainscoting can be installed on these stairs as well. Flexible parts are available for installation on curved walls and curved stairs. This means you wont have visible seams on your curved walls after installation. capital Columns is one of the few companies in the GTA who can tackle a curved stair job without scratching our heads first.

Curved Wall Wainscoting
If your home has curved walls or curved stairs, don’t worry. We are able to apply Wall Panel Wainscoting to curved walls by using flexible materials that match the shape and size of our standard wainscoting, to your walls.
The Stiles (vertical pieces) are still made of MDF however the rest of the parts are made using flexible polyurethane and cellular PVC. The price will be slightly higher due to the costs of the flexible materials and the amount of time involved installing the materials however once installed, you won’t be able to tell the difference between the two.
